Scandinavia’s most prestigious pre-season handball tournaments. The tournament will take place in Skövde from August 7–10, 2025, bringing together some of the best teams from Sweden and the Nordic region to provide the perfect preparation for the upcoming season.
Annliz Cup SuperElit is a time-honored benchmark where elite teams get the chance to test their form, refine their tactics, and deliver top-class handball. Viborg HK, with an impressive record that includes three Champions League titles and 14 Danish championships, will make their third appearance in our SuperElit class. Their previous participation, most recently in 2024, has strengthened their ties to the tournament, and we look forward to once again welcoming their offensive playing style and winning mentality. So far, Høj Elit, Viborg HK, and Skövde HF are confirmed for the tournament, promising a high-caliber lineup.
“Annliz Cup SuperElit 2025 will be a fantastic opportunity to gather top teams and offer handball fans a real spectacle. Viborg HK’s return is especially exciting – they are a team with a rich history and a consistent ability to perform,” says Anders Wiik, responsible for team recruitment for the cup.
In the Danish league, Viborg HK has shown solid form during the 2024/2025 season. As of March 2025, they were positioned in the upper half of the standings, with victories such as a 29–26 win over SønderjyskE HK under their belt, and are now aiming to build momentum heading into the playoffs. Their return to Skövde offers a chance to fine-tune their game ahead of next season’s challenges. The team also features Elma Örtemark, whose home club is Skövde HF (the tournament’s organizer).
