Annliz Cup SuperElit will be played the 6-9th of August 2026.

Each participant team will play three matches.

If tournament schedule is impossible to arrange we will create a schedule of freindly games based on your wish as much as possible.

All matches are 2×30 minutes. International rules.

The history of Annliz Cup SuperElit

Annliz Cup SuperElit was started in 2013 as a way to create high quality pre seasonal matches for top teams in Sweden. The name ”Annliz Cup” comes from Annliz Frisk, a person who contributed to Skövde HF for decades, who past away in 2012.

In 2019, with a new management and a new highly dedicated head coach (Rasmus Rygaard Poulsen) invitations to top international teams became successful. The tournament moved to Idrottshallen Arena and an event area was built up close to the handball court. Handball was mixed with other activities on the event area. A new concept was created which is the frame for 2022.

Since Annliz Cup 2024 we play with six womens elit teams in parallell with six men teams.

Your stay in Skövde

Hotel

Annliz Cup use three main hotels. In each hotel you will have a perfect stay. All hotels have meeting rooms and relax areas.

Travels from and to the hotell will be managed by Annliz Cup unless you manage transport by yourselves.

The food, an excellent dish

Food from Mattias Restaruant

Breakfast is served at the hotel and lunch and dinner is served at the arena based on your playing schedule.
The food at the arena is managed byt a local catering catering firm that teams from 2023 has given 5 star rating in quality.
At the end of August every year Skövde city is arranging a food festival. Many restaurants are competing in four categories:

Best restaruant area award

Fruits will be available for all teams connected to the matches.

The Arena

The games will be played in Skövde Idrottshall which is a small venue that can hold 1200 people in the audience.

Skövde has a bigger Arena and some matches will be placed in one of the match courts available in this arena.

The handball temperature, the feeling and cosiness in Skövde Idrottshall is just far better then the arena. You will know when playing!

Locker Rooms

Locker rooms with shower possibilities will we available for all teams from 2026. In totalt we will have six available locker rooms.

Referees

Referees will be from the Swedish National League, Handbollsligan or similar.

The Event Area

Outside Skövde Idrottshall we have the food court for all teams and spectators to enjoy. Here you will enjoy Mattias Resturants food and can find some nice drinks to this.

If you want to buy somthing that is not included in your package we are 100% digital so only credit cards or Swish can be accepted.

Our aim is to always make the event area more than just food so every year has some new activities. We can assure you a big LED-screen where you are able to see the match being played in the arena while you eat dinner.

The audience are really close to the teams but a private area exist for the teams if they want to relax without fans running around taking selfies.

Our hope is that many players take the opportunity to mingle with the fans and share their experience on social media.

The Vision

Annliz Cups vision is to create a handball week in Skövde each summer where top international teams meet to start up the season. A place for referees to warm up before the season starts and where the handball fans meet to cherish the sport they love. We hope all teams feel the energy in our engagement to make the stay in Skövde professional and with a wish to come back .
